Richard Goodyear (the boss)
Richard Goodyear, “the boss,” has over 30 years of experience as a gas engineer and heating system designer. Since founding Chelmsford Gas Services in 2011, he has transformed the company into one of Essex’s leading heating specialists, renowned for installing high-quality, efficient heating systems and providing great customer service across Chelmsford and nearby areas. Under his leadership, the firm has earned multiple awards for its excellence in the heating market.
Richard is always up for a cup of tea with milk and two sugars or, on warmer days, a refreshing glass of squash. Outside of work, he treasures family time, especially with his dogs, and enjoys unwinding on the river when the weather allows.
Joanne Duval (the organising superstar!)
Joanne Duval is our Office Manager and the organisational force behind the day-to-day running of Chelmsford Gas Services.
Responsible for overseeing our back-office operations, Joanne manages the team’s schedules, customer communications, administration and the many moving parts required to keep everything running smoothly. Her organisation, attention to detail and commitment to customer service make her an invaluable member of the team.
Outside of work she also enjoys going to the gym and socialising at the weekends.
Connor Maher (the young one)
Connor is a fully qualified gas engineer and a valued member of the Chelmsford Gas Services team. Having joined us more than four years ago through our apprenticeship programme, he has developed his skills alongside our experienced engineers and successfully progressed to become a qualified engineer in his own right.
Friendly, enthusiastic and committed to delivering a high standard of work, Connor has become a trusted and important part of the team.
Outside of work, Connor can usually be found at the pool table, playing for his local pool club.
Connor doesn’t usually drink anything, although he will occasionally accept a glass of water.
Bam Douglas (the dynamic one)
Bam is a dynamic member of our team, known for his “superpower” of awesomeness, a penchant for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and just the right amount of modesty! Born under the star sign Leo, Bam brings energy, charisma, and a positive vibe to every project he’s involved with. His favourite colour, yellow, perfectly matches his bright and optimistic outlook.
He’s a team player through and through and isn’t afraid to take on challenges with a smile. With a sharp eye for detail and a small-size uniform to match, Bam fits right in here, helping us keep things running smoothly and always looking for the next opportunity to shine.
If the kettles on he will take a tea milk with 2 sugars or if he remembers them his own Twinings Metabolism tea!
