Richard Goodyear (the boss)

Richard Goodyear, “the boss,” has over 30 years of experience as a gas engineer and heating system designer. Since founding Chelmsford Gas Services in 2011, he has transformed the company into one of Essex’s leading heating specialists, renowned for installing high-quality, efficient heating systems and providing great customer service across Chelmsford and nearby areas. Under his leadership, the firm has earned multiple awards for its excellence in the heating market.

Richard is always up for a cup of tea with milk and two sugars or, on warmer days, a refreshing glass of squash. Outside of work, he treasures family time, especially with his dogs, and enjoys unwinding on the river when the weather allows.

Bam Douglas (the dynamic one)

Bam is a dynamic member of our team, known for his “superpower” of awesomeness, a penchant for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and just the right amount of modesty! Born under the star sign Leo, Bam brings energy, charisma, and a positive vibe to every project he’s involved with. His favourite colour, yellow, perfectly matches his bright and optimistic outlook.

He’s a team player through and through and isn’t afraid to take on challenges with a smile. With a sharp eye for detail and a small-size uniform to match, Bam fits right in here, helping us keep things running smoothly and always looking for the next opportunity to shine.

If the kettles on he will take a tea milk with 2 sugars or if he remembers them his own Twinings Metabolism tea!

Connor Maher (the young one)

Connor is in the final six months of his four-year training program at Chelmsford Gas Services and is doing very well.

Connor is a friendly, enthusiastic individual. We are confident that he is going to be a remarkable asset to our team as he learns the trade alongside our highly experienced engineers.

In his spare time Connor can usually be found on the pool table (he plays for the local pool club).

He typically doesn’t drink anything, though he will occasionally accept a glass of water.

Joanne Duval (the organising superstar!)

Joanne Duval is the organising superstar and the engine that runs the day-to-day operations at Chelmsford Gas Services, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

She handles all incoming calls and manages the team. Joanne loves her work, and outside of the office, she is a social media guru.

When she’s not working, she enjoys going to the gym and socialising on the weekends.

Karen Goodyear (the REAL boss!)

Karen is the one who really runs the show whether Richard likes to admit it or not!

With Joanne taking the reins of the day to day running and admin side of the business, Karen now concentrates on key parts of the business such as accounts, HR and compliance.

Outside of work, Karen loves running you can find her out and about most mornings before work and at the end of the day she loves walking her Bear (German Shepherd).
