Chelmsford Gas Services Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To ensure a smooth and efficient process for both our customers and our engineers, we have established the following cancellation policy:
Cancellation or Rescheduling:
- For service and repair work, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to adjust our schedule and offer the appointment slot to another customer in need of our services.
- For installation work, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 5 working days’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to allocate the necessary resources and plan the installation accordingly.
- To cancel or reschedule, please contact our customer service team at 01245 251 741 during our business hours. You may also send an email to info@chelmsfordgas.co.uk Please provide your name, contact information, and the details of your appointment when making the cancellation or rescheduling request.
Cancellation Fee:
- Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice for service and repair work will not incur any cancellation fees. cancellations after 24 hours notice will incur a £60 fee.
- For installation work, if you cancel your appointment after the 5-day notice period, a cancellation fee will be charged based on the order value and the number of days of notice provided.
- The cancellation fee for installation work will be 10% of the order value per day. For example, if you have a £3000 order and cancel with 2 working days’ notice, the cancellation fee will be £900.00 (£3000 * 10% * 3 days).
- The cancellation fee will be representative of our costs incurred in making the order, including any materials or equipment that have been ordered or prepared specifically for your installation.
Payment Deposit and Refunds:
- Some of our services, especially installation work, may require a payment deposit at the time of booking. The deposit amount will be communicated to you when scheduling the appointment.
- If you cancel your appointment within the required notice period (14 days) we will refund your payment deposit in full using the original payment method. The refund process may take up to 5 working days to complete.
- Cancellations made after the specified notice period may result in the forfeiture of the payment deposit and the deduction of the applicable cancellation fee. Our customer service team will inform you of the specific refund policy and deduction amounts when you make the cancellation request.
Failure to Be Available for Appointment:
- It is important to be available at the scheduled appointment time to ensure our engineers can access your property and provide the necessary heating services.
- If you are not available at the scheduled appointment time without providing prior notice, our engineers will wait for a reasonable period of time. If no contact is made or access is not granted within this time, the appointment may be considered cancelled, and you may be subject to a cancellation fee or forfeiture of the payment deposit, depending on the circumstances.
- We understand that unexpected situations may arise, and we encourage you to inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to be available at the scheduled appointment time.
