Boiler Plan
- Onboarding and initial service - £99

- Covers servicing and repairs with no callout charge
- Keeps your system working reliably and efficiently
- Priority service
This is covers 1 boiler and up to 20 radiators. An upgraded plan is available to cover additional boilers and radiators within the same dwelling.

Repairs
At Chelmsford Gas Services we have found that the fairest method of charging for smaller jobs is at an hourly rate, so that you only pay for the time it takes to complete the work. For larger jobs, we will provide a fixed quotation (see below).
Hourly Rates From 1st September 2025
- Minimum charge of one hour on all jobs, thereafter 15 minute increments
- Standard hourly rate £135 ex. VAT. Additional quarter hours £34 ex. VAT.
- Our working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
- We will always give you an estimated time for work before we start
- Ask about our Boiler Plan.
- Free quotations are available where the labour costs are equal to or greater than £500 inc vat.
Please note – we no longer repair cookers or hob
Power flushing
Power flush up to 8 radiators – £669
Then £16 per radiator up to 20 radiators.
Over 20 radiators will be a two day power flush – £1339
Install Magnaclean Pro 2 system filter with power flush – £176.00

Other charges and terms
Collection charge
When carrying out a repair, we might have to collect a part not stocked on our vans. In this event we will charge a collection fee base on the time and distance we have to travel to collect the part.
This fee will be the same as our normal hourly charge but is billed in 15 minute intervals up to a maximum of 45mins.
All collection fees will be agreed upon with you and the engineer before charges are incurred. In some cases, it might be better to book another appointment if the job is not of an urgent nature.
Materials
Materials Supplied by Chelmsford Gas Services will be charged at cost plus 20%. If you have paid our collection fee materials are supplied at cost.
Quotes
Free quotes are available above £1,000 – small works under £1,000 will be undertaken on a time and materials basis – see hourly rates above.
Parking and congestion charges
Any parking/congestion charge will be added to the final invoice when applicable. All prices are including VAT which is set at the standard rate of 20%.
Payment
Payment must be made in full by debit/credit card immediately to the engineer upon completion of the work. Any non-present customers (landlords/third parties) will need to provide payment when booking.
VAT invoices will be sent from the office for all completed work.
